LIGHTY Seph made his way past people still in a bit of a daze. Marriage. To a stranger. The blue eyed man stopped to buy a drink from a vendor and then he continued on his way. He didn't have far to go now till he reached his shop, just another block and a turn to the right, but Seph found himself slowing instead of hurrying up. Seph looked at the sky, all blue with scattered clouds, and started walking again.
DAWNY Ceeci wasn't looking where she was going. She was plowing through the crowd at a fast walk, not quite sure where she was headed, just someplace quite. Maybe the park. The result was that she ran straight into Seph. She almost groaned allowed. Just what she needed now. "I'm so sorry," she said, sounding more irritated then sorry.
LIGHTY Seph stumbled back a step, but reached out to steady the girl in front of him as she swayed. His drink had tipped, spilling some of the liquid inside, and luckily none of it had landed on either one of them. "No, my apologies. I wasn't paying much attention to my surroundings." Seph looked at the girl's face for the first time and immediately felt bad. She looked annoyed and almost angry and Seph wasn't sure what to say. "Is there any way I can make it up to you, Miss....?"
DAWNY "Ceeci," she said automatically. "No, I don't think there's anything you can do, unless you can convince my parents to cancel my engagement," She huffed.
DAWNY Seph winced. He couldn't help but sympethize with her. "I am very sorry about your... circumstances, Miss Ceeci." The dark haired man added, "I own Mau's Carpentry. If you need to vent to a stranger or are ever in need of a hot chocolate you can stop by. It's the least I can do."
DAWNY Ceeci very nearly smiled. At that moment, a hot chocolate sounded wonderful. It was warm and comforting. "Thank you, Mister Mau. Sometimes a cup of hot chocolate is very welcome."
LIGHTY Seph awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. "Um, my name's Seph. I took over the shop from the former owner and never changed the name." He smiled shyly at the girl in front of him. Even if there was no romantic possibilities with her they could still be friends. "Anyway, come with me and we'll be there in no time." Seph offered Ceeci his arm like a gentleman should and waited for her to either take it or push him away. He'd completely understand both actions. If she took his arm it would be a comfort thing, if she didn't, it would be out of respect for her upcoming marriage.
DAWNY Ceeci gave Seph a bright smile and took his arm. "Thank you." The prospect of hot chocolate had cheered her considerably. Maybe talking with someone else would take her mind of off imminent marriage. Her parents had said that they details were still being worked out, and as soon as they were, she would meat her future husband. At least she had been assured that he wasn't much older than her. He could have been some old fart.
